The opening event of MENSCHEN in EUROPA 2014 was attended by Federal Foreign Minister Frank‐Walter Steinmeier, who talked frankly with moderator and political journalist Hans‐Ulrich Jörges about the international situation, focusing particularly on what is happening in Ukraine, Syria and Iraq. He also addressed the differences between the West and Russia and their global impact.
